Marking the beginning of Ashcroft at our sod-turning event

We were proud to recently mark the official commencement of Ashcroft with a sod-turning event in Flagstone, a significant milestone that signals the beginning of this thoughtfully crafted lifestyle community. The event brought together project partners, local representatives and members of the Millbray team to celebrate the start of construction and the vision behind Ashcroft.

Proceedings included an address from Queensland Assistant Minister for Planning, Housing and Regulation, Rebecca Young, who spoke to the importance of delivering diverse and well-located housing options to support Queensland’s growing population. Millbray’s General Manager of Development, Matt Fedrick, also shared Millbray’s vision for Ashcroft and the role it will play in creating a welcoming, connected community designed specifically for over-50s living. The event was opened with a traditional smoking ceremony, acknowledging the cultural heritage of the land and marking the beginning of Ashcroft with respect and intention.

For our future residents, this milestone represents far more than the start of construction. Set across 12 hectares, Ashcroft has been thoughtfully designed to bring together beautifully considered homes and more than 5,000sqm of dedicated resident amenity, creating opportunities to connect, stay active and enjoy everyday life with ease.

Located in the heart of Flagstone, Ashcroft offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience, with access to shopping, healthcare, green spaces and essential services, while providing the privacy and sense of belonging that comes from living in a purpose-designed community.

With construction now underway and the first homes soon to be released, we look forward to welcoming our first residents and seeing Ashcroft grow into a vibrant and connected place to call home.
